In 2022, pain in the back of his left leg sent Christian to the ER, where doctors discovered six blood clots that should have killed him. The experience reframed everything: medical technology working safely and securely stopped being a regulatory abstraction and became the reason he founded Blue Goat Cyber later that year, dedicated specifically to medical device cybersecurity and patient safety.

Christian is the host of The Med Device Cyber Podcast, the definitive weekly podcast on medical device security, and the author of three books. The Smartest Person in the Room is the bestselling field guide to the seven-step Secure Methodology, which turns high-IQ technical contributors into leaders who can actually be heard.
