Christian Espinosa: The Experience Behind the Talks

I speak from the intersection of cybersecurity, entrepreneurship and the human side of technical leadership. My aim is not to sound like the smartest person in the room. It is to help the room understand what matters and decide what to do next.

On stage at LSI Asia 2026.

Professional foundation

My Speaking Credentials

Founder & CEO, Blue Goat Cyber
I lead a medical device cybersecurity firm focused on helping manufacturers address security as part of patient safety, from design and risk assessment to regulatory submissions and ongoing vulnerability management.
Founder, Alpine Security
I founded Alpine Security in 2014 and sold it in 2020. Building and leading a cybersecurity company taught me why technical ability has to be matched by communication, accountability and collaboration.
Engineering, business & military service
I am a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and U.S. Air Force veteran, with a BS in Engineering from the Academy and an MBA from Webster University. That background shapes how I connect technical details to leadership decisions.
Author & podcast host
I wrote The Smartest Person in the Room and The In-Between: Life in the Micro, and I host The Med Device Cyber Podcast. These are different ways of exploring the same challenge: turning knowledge into useful action.

How I show up

My Speaking Style

  1. Direct, without the technical posturing

I explain the risk and its consequences in language the audience can use. Technical detail belongs in the conversation when it helps people understand, not when it simply makes the speaker sound impressive.

  2. Personal stories, practical lessons

I connect lessons from building Alpine Security and leading Blue Goat Cyber with my own work on ego, belonging and communication. I talk about what I have had to change, not just what other people should change.

  3. Shaped around the people in the room

An engineering team, a regulatory audience and a leadership group need different starting points. I work with organizers on the audience, topic and intended outcome, then connect the technical and human sides of the subject.

Evidence, not hype

Why I Bring a Trusted Perspective

My perspective comes from doing the work: leading cybersecurity businesses, writing about technical leadership and discussing medical device security with practitioners. Trust should rest on evidence, not a string of superlatives. Review my professional background, read the work and watch or listen to a conversation before deciding whether I am the right voice for your audience.
